Educational Requirements
Certification and Licensure
After completing your education, you must pass the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) exam. The American Occupational Therapy Association, or AOTA, requires this exam. This exam is a crucial step in becoming a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
